Reading Quran is a Taboo in Malaysia!

As I did not promised from the post before, but I did mentioned it, as per post title..

I don't think this is only common in Malaysia, but may be the whole of Islamic community. But since I only been given the opportunity to experience my beloved (and sick) country (al-hamdu-lillah), that, I will give it a priority to be expressed about. It's basically down right to the hadith (or more exact, what 'he' said or 'she' said or 'they' said from hearsay that Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. said it goes like this ya'll and like that ya'll..). That 'hearsay' actually goes like, "should you tafseer/interpret the Quran without knowledge..", and   the 'ustaz' and the 'ulama' said it like, "you should not interpret the Quran without this kind of knowledge or that kind off knowledge, studying with 'this' person and 'that' person...". They always confuse hadith with sunnah and get them mixed up.

Bottom line is, I don't give a rat's ass about the first level of hearsay! And they expect me to believe the derivations and deviations of the how many levels of such hearsays. My point, just go to GOD. Let Allah guide you. I did that and he points me to all sorts of directions, but the Quran is always there. So, don't follow my advice when you got God's words. What He says?

Surat An-Nisā' (The Women) - سورة النساء

4:59

Sahih International
O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.

ref:http://quran.com/4/59

Well, well.. He have obviously stated to

  1. Obey Allah;
  2. Obey the messenger;
  3. Obey authority among you;
  4. If disagrees over anything, refer to (1)Allah and the (2)messenger

The key word is ;

V – 2nd person masculine plural (form IV) imperative verb
PRON – subject pronoun
فعل أمر والواو ضمير متصل في محل رفع فاعل

Which means, obey. Enough said.

The points conveyed in plain obvious. As you can see above, I have numbered the words (1.,2.,3.,4.,...). It can be viewed like an Act set by the parliament or such. First, refer to Allah, then, refer to rasul, then the selected authority, and any dispute, refer to section (1) and (2) (Allah and rasul).

Here is a video clip from youtube.com, a lecture conveyed by a popular 'ustaz' mentioning the taboo in interpreting the quran (in malay);

There's no place stated that Allah say follow the 'ustaz' or the 'ulama' or said any taboo or haram interpreting the quran. Why people get so worked up spreading such lies? Are they stupid or just plain ignorant? Brainwashed perhaps? Well, god didn't actually said to neglect them, but he says to go directly to god and rasul for that is the best way.

Can't stop yapping I am. Well, till next time we'll discuss about al-ghaib (unseen/hidden/secret)God guide us all. Insya-Allah. Salam.
